MOST POOL PUMPS HAVE THESE GENERAL COMPONENTS.

pump

The Pump Suction connects through a pipe to the skimmer box in the pool.
The Pump Outlet connects via a short pipe to the filter valve inlet fitting.
The Hair & Lint Strainer has a basket which must be cleaned at least once a week.
